Ways for maintaining good skin

We all like to look our best. If we could have the option to choose to have perfect, glowing, and smooth skin then we would. It’s an easy choice. Making the decision to implement a good skin care routine is certainly one of the ways to ensure that this is feasible.

But what is a good skin regimen for skin care? Do you have a standard size that will work for all ?… No, unfortunately not. Everyone has different skin types and each skin type will require its own special, loving care. The question is what do I know which products are best for me?

Whether you have oily, dry or combination  NAD + Face Serum sensitive or sensitive skin, we’ll attempt to provide a simple and easy to follow guide on how to start your journey through the confusing world of skin care products.

A good skincare routine should consist of a cleanser and the toner, then a moisturizer and then a serum.

The cleanser you pick should be one that matches your personal skin’s needs. For oily/combination/acne prone skin a good place to start would be a gel cleanser or something like Elizabeth’s Arden Visible Difference Skin Balancing Exfoliating Cleanser for combination skin to ensure that not too much oil is added. If you have dry skin, then the cream cleanser would be the best choice for you. StriVectin Comforting Cleanser would be the ideal choice for this.

Then, we’d recommend some sort of toner. There are three major types of toners to pick from. First, if you have dry skin then a toner that is alcohol-free and containing a minimum amount is recommended. Alcohol can dry your skin, so keep it off as much as you can. It is recommended to use Lancome Tonique Confort Hydrating Toner would be something we’d recommend to this. If you have oily skin, then you may be looking for a cleanser that exfoliates. This is due to the increased likelihood of oil getting trapped within your pores, and potentially cause breakouts. If you suffer from mixed skin, it’s a bit of judgment call, however it’s possible to use one or the other cleanser. But you should be cautious with products that include alcohol, especially when it’s a large concentration.

Following is the serum. Many people ask if it is necessary to apply both the moisturiser and a serum… and if you are looking for the most effective results , then yes it’s. A serum is designed to provide skin with deeper effects than a moisturiser could. They penetrate down into the epidermis and provide concentrated doses of vital nourishment to your skin. The different types of serums include, exfoliating serums, brightening serums, anti ageing serums, firmsing serums and hydrating. Based on the results you want to achieve and you require from your skin will clearly determine the type of serum you select.

Also, moisturisers. There are a myriad of moisturisers out there but to make things easier for you, we’ve divided them into 3 main categories. Humectants are a combination of Emollients, Humectant. In simple terms, humectants have been specifically designed for those with dry skin. They help to seal in water to hydrate the epidermis (the upper layer of the skin). They do this by drawing water into the surrounding air and by drawing water upwards from within the dermis (the layer below the epidermis) to moisturise the surface skin layers. They’re also excellent when you suffer from oily skin but want to moisturize, as they don’t add any excess oil to your skin. Emollients are wonderful as they mimic the actions of the natural oils within your skin. It may also help reduce the volume of loss of fluid (we are all losing an indeterminate amount of water every day and a portion of it by leaking between layers of skin) by filling the gap between the skin cells. The last item on our list is the Occlusives. These are designed for extremely dry skin, or for those with conditions such as eczema. They form a physical layer between the surface of your body and surroundings, securing moisture and preventing further water loss. They’re quite thick when compared to other moisturisers.
